As per the sources available with www.propertykhazana.com, RBI has stood on the risk weightage for sub 20 Lakhs loans which has set up a push to many realty stocks which resulted into a spiky upswing in rates. Various land developers are seeing a quick rise in their real estate stock rates which are likely to budge by 4-9%. Hike has been observed by Ansals, Parsvnath, DS Kulkarni, Mahindra Gesco and Sobha. Realty developers are mainly profited from the condensed risk weightage as it had permitted banks to hike their exposure to the segment on the similar capital base. The proceeds was limited to small towns and cities as there are many housing loan borrowers gazing for the loan for more than Rs. 20 Lakhs. The condensed risk weightage might lead to any major drop in the interest outlay for the clients.

This shows that the bank needs a capital of 9% of Rs. 75 for every Rs. 100 lent to the residential industry.
