CIDCO and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra is a Government of Maharashtra undertaking. Incorporated city planning operations on 17th march 1970, CIDCO was established with a particular aspiration of developing a satellite town on similar lines of Mumbai which was later known as Navi Mumbai or New Mumbai. With the increasing population pressure in Mumbai demanding for a surrogate to clam the traffic congestion open spaces' and adequate housing facilities imperfection. CIDCO then created Navi Mumbai - a luxurious twin city to the trade capital of India - Mumbai. CIDCO is liable for the development of the infrastructure and conduct direct sale of the developed or undeveloped land for recovering of the construction costs.
