Aurangabad was originated by Malik Ambar a minister of MurtazaNizam Shah of Ahmadnagar in the 1610 A.D on spot known as Kharki in the present state of Maharashtra. The overall people residing in the small village started to develop within a decade and it remodelled into a bigger and powerful Augangabad city. Constructive accomplishment during the early days of its administration bears the sensitive dedication of the founders in the Augangabad city. Mughal Dictator Jehangir invaded and defeated the Augangabad city in 1621, Malik Ambar, the founder passed away in a few years in 1626. He was replaced by his son who modified his name of instead of Fateh Khan as Kharki as Fatehnagar.
